At RA Garden Ideas, we’re always exploring new ways to combine practical design with traditional craftsmanship. Our latest concept is a log store available with either a felt or metal roof, designed to offer flexibility, durability, and a timeless garden look.
The planned external dimensions (excluding roof overhang) are 1150 × 3480 mm, giving a generous amount of space for both firewood and tools. The layout includes one enclosed storage section for accessories or garden equipment, and one open log bay for neatly stacked firewood.
We’re also considering two cladding styles – traditional featheredge boards, providing a rustic and textured appearance, or smooth planed timber, offering a cleaner and more contemporary look. Both options will be crafted from FSC-certified, pressure-treated timber, ensuring long-lasting protection from the elements.
Whether you prefer the classic charm of a felt roof log store or the modern durability of a metal roof version, this design aims to combine style, practicality, and weather resistance in one cohesive build.
